A Goldilocks gem of a hotel
Hits the sweet spot. Located about 15 mins walk to touristy Dam Square and yet the hotel is situated by a canal in a tranquil area. Various local eateries are within 3 mins walk away and is ideal for evening meals. Tram stop is 1 min from hotel doorstep but windows had sound proofing so noise intrusion was minimal. The hotel has a lot of character and the staff are very friendly. Rooms were cleaned well and the cleaning staff were very honest: I made a schoolboy error of forgetting to lock the room safe but a not insubstantial amount of cash and passport were left untouched.

Chuveiro, cama, roupa de camas, toalhas e travesseiro excelente Equipe super prestativa e atenciosa Wi-Fi deixa a desejar, pois perde muito a conexão, Café da manhã delicioso, com produtos locais e variedade, pães, frios, queijos, frutas, iogurte, geleia, mel, enfim tudo muito gostoso. E o detalhe de poder escolher a forma que vem os ovos, fica delicioso O detalhe de sempre nos abastecer com água no quarto faz toda a diferença Tem um espaço de café cortesia, sempre com croissant de chocolate.

A charming, family-run, well-located property
A charming, family-run, well-located property where the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Great breakfast. This is the opposite of a chain hotel experience—in the best possible way.

Voltaria com certeza a me hospedar aqui.
Café da manhã cobrado à parte, mas vale a pena pela qualidade. Hotel super bem localizado, perto das estações de tram, mercado, bares etc. Voltaria com certeza a me hospedar aqui.

Great Location on the canal
I highly recommend the Dikker & Thijs. Great location on the canal, lots of restaurants and shops in the area. The Museum District, Anne Frank House and other attractions on walking distance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable. Had a wounderful stay.

Well laid out relaxing room
Well laid out relaxing room as well as a lovely coffee lounge with pastries. Very central to everything. Bustling neighborhood with nearby shopping and night life, restaurants, but the room was quiet and peaceful

The staff was wonderful. Top rate!
Fantastic location within walking distance to dozens of restaurants, cafes and the museum district. There are also canal boat ride locations right outside the hotel door. Busy intersection but the street noise did not disrupt us at all. The room was fabulous, - spacious, clean, and comfortable. We did not partake in the breakfast but did appreciate the coffee every morning. I would strongly recommend this hotel to those just passing through or those staying for a longer periode of time. Lastly the staff was wonderful from the woman who checked us in to the gentleman who arranged for our taxi tot the airport. Top rate!

Excellent Hotel.
Excellent Hotel. This is an excellent hotel in a terrific location. Our family of five (parents, two sons and daughter in law) stayed in three rooms for six nights. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. Breakfast is fantastic —lots of choices. Guest service is outstanding. We loved staying here and highly recommend it.

Great Hotel
Great Hotel, very clean, great beds and shower, the rooms offer everything you need and more with daily cleans, fresh towels and complimentary bottles of water. It was a relatively busy atmosphere outside the hotel but not invasive and the trams can be heard passing by which I loved as we felt immersed into the city life of Amsterdam it’s a brilliant location to explore the city. I’d like to give a special mention to Chantal exceptional service above and beyond, we will be back..
